Perhaps to the chagrin of those claiming this company is rife with accounting problems, as of 05-Dec-2014 we received information from the SEC to suggest the absence of recent SEC investigative activity on Ametek Inc. (AME).  Below is an excerpt from the SEC letter to us --

This response represents the fourth time we've researched Ametek since Jun-2012. All four times the SEC response was the same:  Nothing found.
