Capital One Financial Corporation (COF):  Documents Released.  In March-April 2013 the SEC reached agreement with Capital One and two of its executives regarding understating millions in auto loan losses sustained during the financial crisis.  The SEC provided us with 25 pages of documents related to that settlement.

The SEC also let us know there exists an estimate 4,403 pages of email communications in one folder with a date range of January 2011 to December 2013 that could also be responsive to our request.

Nothing pertaining to the present day appears to have been found.

The SEC reminds us that its assertion of the law enforcement exemption should not be construed as an indication by the Commission or its staff that any violations of law have occurred with respect to any person, entity, or security.  New SEC investigative activity could theoretically begin or end after the date covered by this latest information which would not be reflected here.
